Greetings
Welcome to the 19th HETI International Congress – HOOFBEATS FOR HEALTH
Dear colleagues and friends,
It is my great pleasure, as President of HETI, to warmly invite you to join us for the 19th HETI International Congress, HOOFBEATS FOR HEALTH, taking place from 18th to 22nd May 2027 in Oslo, Norway.
This congress is more than a professional event – it is a meeting point for our international community. It is a unique opportunity to connect across disciplines, countries, and approaches, and to strengthen our shared purpose: delivering high-quality Equine Assisted Services with both clinical professionalism and true respect for equine welfare.
Our theme, bridging equestrianism and welfare, reflects a topic that is both timely and essential. As our field continues to grow, we must keep asking thoughtful questions, sharing best practices, and learning from one another – not only through research and education, but also through real conversations and meaningful collaboration.
I am sincerely grateful to our organiser, Hest og Helse, for hosting this congress and for creating the space for us to meet, exchange ideas, and move forward together.
Whether you are a practitioner, educator, researcher, or student, I truly hope to meet you in beautiful Oslo.
Please take the next step and register – and come to be inspired, challenged, and supported by colleagues who understand the depth and responsibility of our work.
I look forward to welcoming you in person in May 2027.
With warm regards,
Věra Lantelme-Faisan
President, HETI (Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International)
Welcome to Oslo and the 19th HETI Congress!
It is a great pleasure to welcome participants from around the world to this gathering in Norway’s capital. The HETI Congress offers a unique arena for sharing knowledge, research, and hands-on experience from all corners of the globe.
By connecting science and practice across borders, we strengthen the understanding of how horses can contribute to health, learning, and inclusion.
Together, we build bridges between disciplines, cultures, and communities – with the horse at the heart of our work.
I want to give special thanks to our Secretary General Anette Isaksen and the rest of the board in Hest og Helse for making this happen.
Warm welcoming,
Emilie Charlotte Libowitz
